Estava fazendo uma pesquisa sobre modelagem, inspirada no livro de Bill Horan, pois sempre me fascinou a técnica que muitos escultores utilizam e os resultados que eles obtém, e resolvi tentar esculpir uma figura.

Dai surgiu a necessidade de escolher um tema e uma figura interessante para ser esculpida. Resolvi fazer uma pesquisa por guerras nas quais encontramos poucas figuras modeladas, justamente para ter algo realmente inédito e exclusivo, sem ser influenciado por figuras que já existem por ai. Então o período escolhido foi a guerra Franco-Prussiana (1890-1891), onde a França saiu derrotada e a Alemanha se uniu.
E: Hence arose the need to choose a theme and an interesting figure to be sculped. I decided to do a search for the wars in which we find few figures modeled, just to have something really new and unique without being influenced by figures that are already out there. Then the period chosen was the Franco-Prussian War (1890-1891), where France defeated and left Germany joined.
Na minha pesquisa encontrei uma infinidade de uniformes e personagens, porém um me chamou muito a atenção foi o quadro chamado Death of commandant Berbigier (A morte do comandante Berbigier), que foi um comandante francês que antes de morrer pegou um trompete jogado no chão e tocou para incentivar a sua tropa em batalha.

Então irei esculpir a figura me baseando no pintura, porém a principio não o farei sobre um cavalo morto e sim sobre uma pedra, por questão de facilidade...

O trabalho de escultura está muito no incio e como sou principiante vou a passos lentos. Para esculpir estou usando "durepoxi" para a base da figura e "tamiya epoxi" para os detalhes finais.
E: The sculpture work is much in the beginning and as I am beginner will slow steps. To sculpting I'm using "durepoxi" to the base of the figure and "tamiya epoxy" for the final details.
